Mikhail 3rd generation

“Felina. Diana here. Hope you still remember me.” It was a text message I received from Mikhail and Mirza’s granny. Many years have passed but I still remember teaching her son, Hafiz for PSLE and he was always trying his best, no matter what failures he faced. Later on, it was Natasha who was very shy and nervous about Math but she didn’t struggle as much as her brother. Our last encounter was when Natasha was in Sec 4, struggling with O levels E Math. At that time, I was a fresh graduate from university. I would see her every fortnight to build her confidence back in her Math. I was so happy and proud for these 2 kids when Diana said to me “Natasha was awarded 2nd class Honours…” and “Hafiz is married and pursuing a degree in NTU…”

What came after that was a surprise and a happy news for me. She wanted to engage me to teach her grandchild, Mikhail at Primary 3. “Wow, I get to teach the 3rd generation,” I thought to myself =)
