Marco Outperformed in IGCSE

I first met Marco’s elder brother, a fast learner who was ahead of his peers in a group class conducted by me. Thus the contrast was striking when I was introduced to Marco at grade 7. At that point in time, he was assessed to be below average in Math, struggling to grasp the fundamental concepts. However, a year later, triggered by the change in institution, his remarkable growth began. Initially, he relied heavily on drilling and practising similar questions to build up his confidence. Over time, he became self-reliant and even adopted the study methods I suggested for his Science. Eventually, he was able to complete my homework independently before each class. When he received his IGCSE grades of B for Math and A for Science, the results exceeded all expectations! Marco’s learning journey is an affirmation to the transformation that is possible when a child is nurtured with the correct mindset, attitude and knowledge, akin to a young seedling growing into a thriving plant. His story reinforces my belief that with grit and the correct mentorship, nothing is impossible ! =)
